Restaurant reviews: Rajmoni, Earley

Published 28 Aug 2013 09:30

After several months eagerly anticipating the re-opening of Rajmoni in Lower Earley, it is safe to say it was well worth the wait. After moving premises to a larger unit within Maiden Place, Rajmoni opened its doors to the public for the first time on August 2, with extra tables brought in to accommodate the demand on the opening night, not to mention the mass of takeaway collection orders - and it is clear to see why.

  • Bina Tandoori

After years of dining in and around Hollywood and Beverly Hills, CA, walking into Bina Restaurant gave me an incredible sense of familiarity and brought me straight back to the shores of California.

  • Asian Spice Tandoori Restaurant

Asian Spice Tandoori Restaurant, located on Overdown Road, Tilehurst offers traditional and authentic Asian cuisine and boasts a local following of many years.

  • Masala 22

Masala 22, situated on Hildens Drive in Tilehurst, offers the community an authentic taste of classic Bangladeshi and Indian cuisine. Positioned along a parade of shops, at first sight the restaurant appears small and easy to miss, yet once inside it offers a stylish and contemporary dining experience.

  • Nakhon Thai

Thai food is one of my favourite cuisines and so I was looking forward to reivewing the new Nakhon Thai restaurant in Cane End. I took along a friend and my daughter

  • Caprice Restaurant quality dining

A visit to the Caprice Restaurant at the stylish new 4 star Holiday Inn in Winnersh Triangle, will put pay to any preconceptions we have ever held about the Holiday Inns we had been bought up with.

  • Ruchetta

How very fortunate the people of Reading, Henley and surrounding areas are, having a restaurant of the calibre of Ruchetta, in Peppard within striking distance.

  • Innovation Indian cuisine in a class of its own in Maidenhead

Innovation is the innovative restaurant with class, style and space. Marble tables stretch from wall to wall and decadent lighting is pitched a a level that is just right. It's a place where you can eat and be spoilt but at a price that is also, pleasantly, surprisingly, affordable.

  • Aldermaston Manor - a capacity to delight

Occasionally, an evening or an event, exceeds expectations. So it was on a first visit to Aldermaston Manor country house hotel and conference centre.

  • Pleasantly Surprising Time

Hotel chains' restaurant food sometimes gets a bad rap, but a visit to the newly refurbished Padworth restaurant and bar at the Holiday Inn Reading West on a quiet Thursday evening put paid to any preconceptions we might have had. My guest and I were welcomed by pleasant and attentive staff into the hotel bar, equipped with comfortable chairs and an unobtrusive wide screen television, and given ample time to peruse the menu.
