  Tucked away in a stunning 17th-Century barn in the parklands around Cantley House Hotel, Miltons is a snug, beautiful restaurant boasting open fires, brick walls and exposed beams. Fresh and contemporary, the atmosphere makes for a lovely unfussy evening, with food which sounds simple but is beautifully put together with locally sourced ingredients showcasing the best of Berkshire.

  The Barkham Blue cheese souffle or the luscious Pork and Pear Pie served with a shallot mash finished with crackling and a rich jus are highlights of the menu, but there's something for everyone on there. The Sunday lunch menu also proves popular with beef and lamb with all the trimmings on the menu as well as seafood risotto and mushroom stirfry for people wanting something a little different.
