With Windsor being such an attraction for tourists, a packed place doesn't necessarily always mean a good place. 51 is an exception to this rule - in the heart of the tourist district, it's a haven for locals looking for great unfussy food and a good atmosphere.
With a menu which starts with brunch and heads into the kind of sharing platters (we especially love the tempura prawns and calamari) to ensure a few drinks with friends doesn't need to get interrupted for dinner, 51 has something for everyone, and that's before you look at the main dishes on offer. As well as the kind of staples you'd expect - burgers, nachos, fish and chips and the like, all freshly prepared on the premises using only the finest ingredients there's an extensive selection of fresh fish, risottos and beautiful cuts of steak cooked just how you love them. We recommend the tiger prawns pil pil
(hot garlic, oil & chilli prawns served on a sizzling platter with bread to mop up the juice) as something a little different, but whatever you go for save room for dessert - the homemade cheesecake of the day has to be tasted to be believed.
