  Set in six stunning acres of protected grounds, with deer and other wildlife running free, Taplow House is the kind of historic English house that makes you feel like royalty - even before you sample the menu fit for a king (or indeed queen).

  We recommend the Whole poussin stuffed with roasted red pepper and mozzarella, served with a herb polenta cake and pesto dressing, although if you can't decide then plump for the gastonomic taster menu, which gives you a chance to sample most of the restaurants specialities. Either way, save room for dessert - from the Granny Smith apple soufflé baked in the apple to the hot chocolate fondant with butternut squash ice cream and butternut seed cluster even the most adamant dessert decliner will be tempted.
