  Amid the hustle and bustle of Ascot high street, the Stag is a haven of tranquility and calm.

  Recently re-furbished, the Stag welcomes its visitors with an ecletic mix of striking modern dishes with time-honed classics in some lovely surroundings.

  The bar boasts a log fire place and a welcoming rustic decor perfect to relax in while there's a heated alfresco dining area and garden if you want to brave the elements.

  We recommend the Tom Kha mussels - served in a broth of coconut milk with lemongrass, galangal and chilli with french fries, or, if you're after something more traditional, the meaty joy of the wild boar and apple sausages served with fluffy mashed potatoes and a rich onion gravy but rest assured whatever you fancy there'll be something at the Stag to whet your appetite.
